New skirt and top bought today.

I have tried for years to grow an avocado from stone ( above ). This is the first year I have had some luck, mainly because I researched how the stone must be planted on the internet. This plant seems to be thriving, but I do give it TLC, lifting it out into the sun when it's a bright day, and bringing it into the conservatory when it rains hard.

Myself and Megan this morning, both out tinkering and enjoying the sun.

The decking is glorious in the sunshine. Today it's not too hot, so I didn't need the parasol up.

The fish pond. The fish don't seem to appear until afternoons, lazy whatsits! I have over 100.

My brother Steve and his friend Buck visited us today. It was nice.

And me today:

I heard a couple of days ago that my brother Steve has passed another load of Paramedic Exams, with a score of 98%. I am just so proud of him.
Today he sent me this photo on a multi media text message. His uniform is no longer blue but green. I am not a lover of green, but I think he looks great in it, don't you?

The Clacton Queen resides in the council yard near my home. She went by today, and always " toots " her steam whistle at me :-)

I have bought myself a little electric moped this morning ( not new ).
 It is all present and correct, complete with panels which will cover the wiring ( removed for now to enable work to be done ) . This is it before the work begins. I will post again when it's finished.

The chrysalides have been moved into their butterfly bungalow as instructed once they became hard.
7-14 days time, my baby butterflies will emerge!
Any ideas for names for them? If so, post on the Guestbook.

We have a family of squirrels who visit us regularly. One paid us a visit today. They move fairly fast so it's a hard to get a decent shot of them.

My little babies have turned into chrysalides! The transformation begins!

It's hard to believe they have grown so much in such a brief time! Aren't they cute?

Baby Caterpillars are thriving. They have grown so much in just a few short days! Who would believe that in a few brief weeks they will emerge as Painted Ladies?

Work is finished on the new flower bed :-)

Dan visited today, and has had his long hair cut off!
